Coalition of Unions Sue Over OPM Regulations on Performance Appraisals and Suitability Action

A coalition of unions—with which NTEU has been in close contact—has sued the Office of Personnel Management in federal district court over two recently issued regulations. NTEU was in touch with the coalition of unions as they prepared their lawsuit, which they filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.

These regulations, to which NTEU strongly objected, create a more arbitrary and unfair performance management system and move the adjudication of suitability actions from a neutral administrative body to a political one.
