Office of Personnel Managements’ Federal Workforce Competency Initiative – 2210 Survey

NTEU has learned that the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) is conducting a government-wide occupational analysis survey for the federal workforce competency initiative. OPM sent out an email announcing the survey on April 29, 2026, to begin rolling out the week of May 4, 2026.

OPM has stated that the survey is voluntary and confidential, and is being sent to a sample of employees and supervisors. Not everyone may receive the survey. NTEU has not been briefed on this survey and therefore does not have any additional information from the notice. We are concerned for the lack of anonymity of the employees completing the survey, and it is unclear how the results will be used. As such, NTEU recommends that you do not complete the survey.
