Employees of the National Park Service (NPS), Intermountain Region (IMR) have voted for NTEU representation.
I am very pleased to report that NPS IMR employees overwhelmingly voted for NTEU as their exclusive representative. The election is the culmination of the work of a committed group of employees who want to have a meaningful voice in their working conditions. The NPS IMR employee-led Organizing Committee, ably assisted by the NTEU Organizing Department and dedicated leaders from Chapters 296, 336 and others, built a groundswell of support for this campaign. NTEU will now represent some 650-plus employees from within the IMR, which spans from the northern peaks of the Rocky Mountains all the way to the southern Chihuahuan Desert. The IMR includes 87 park units within eight states of the American West: Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Arizona, and Montana.
The new chapter will be placed in District 10, joining our other two NPS Chapters 296 (NPS HQ) and 336 (NPS National Capital Region). The NPS IMR chapter will be represented and supported by the Denver Field Office.
Please join me in celebrating the addition of these incredible new members. Welcome Chapter 347 — NPS IMR!
