Pregnant Workers Fairness Act Passes in the House NTEU applauds House passage of the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, which strengthens procedures and policies to make sure pregnant employees in the public and private sector receive reasonable accommodations in the workplace without retaliation. National President Tony Reardon sent letters to members of Congress ahead of the vote urging them to support H.R. 1065, which now goes to the Senate. The legislation is sponsored by Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) and has 228 bipartisan co-sponsors. Read more |
