The Task Force Issues Updated COVID-19 Workplace Guidance

Last week, The Safer Federal Workforce Task Force issued updated guidance regarding COVID-19 workplace policies including specifics about ending the screening testing program for unvaccinated federal workers, vaccine status reporting, quarantine and masking.

Along with ending screening testing, the guidance directs agencies to pause asking employees to provide vaccination status and outlines updated exposure and infection isolation protocols. It also continues to urge agencies to make improvements to indoor ventilation and air filtration, which NTEU has been pushing for since the start of the pandemic.
