Tonight, President Trump issued an illegal executive order (EO) seeking to end union representation and collective bargaining for dozens of agencies across the federal government. This includes many bargaining units represented by NTEU. In doing so, the president is attempting to silence the voice of federal employees and prevent your elected labor union representatives from fighting to protect their rights. The administration has witnessed how hard NTEU and our fellow unions will battle for their members, and so they are doing everything possible to stop us. We will never back down!
 
I directed our Office of General Counsel to file a lawsuit seeking an order declaring the EO illegal. The EO itself has not yet been released, but here is a White House Fact Sheet and OPM Guidance referencing it and listing the impacted agencies.
 
We need everyone in this fight. Solidarity is our strength. We have each other’s back and always will. Together, NTEU and our members will overcome this challenge and whatever else they throw at us.
