NTEU’s Ongoing Fight Against Mass Firings

We’re updating you on our ongoing court battle against the administration’s mass firings.

In February, President Trump ordered agencies to start large-scale reductions-in-force and to fire large numbers of probationary and trial employees. We immediately sued to stop these firings. The government has moved to dismiss our lawsuit. Today, we filed an opposition brief to the government’s motion explaining why each of the government’s arguments is baseless and contrary to
the law. We hope the court will swiftly deny the government’s motion.

This lawsuit is just one part of our multi-pronged effort against the administration’s RIFs and other wrongful actions against our employees. We will keep you updated as this lawsuit and our other efforts proceed.
