PTO Bargaining Unit Exclusions Executive Order

Yesterday, President Trump issued yet another unlawful executive order (EO) seeking to end union representation and collective bargaining for several additional agencies across the federal government. This EO includes more than three-fourths of the bargaining unit in NTEU Chapter 243, which represents members at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (PTO). Specifically, the EO applies to those members of Chapter 243 who work on the Patent side of PTO.
 
Once again, the administration is seeking to silence the voice of federal employees and prevent NTEU from fighting to protect their rights. It will not work. We will not back down. All of NTEU stands with and has our PTO members’ backs.
 
We will fight back against this illegal EO. We need everyone in this fight. Solidarity is our strength. Together, NTEU and our members will overcome this challenge and whatever else they throw at us.
 
Let Congress know that you won’t stand for these attacks on our members and their union.
