Protect America’s Workforce Act Passes the House; On to the Senate
HR2550, the Protect America’s Workforce Act (PAWA) passed by a vote today of 231-195 in the House. The bill, which would restore collective bargaining rights for federal employees impacted by the March 27 executive order, is now headed to the Senate for a vote. All Democrats supported the bill as well as 20 Republicans*.
This would not have been possible without NTEU members’ advocacy and holding our representatives accountable for supporting the work of federal employees across the nation.
The fight is not over. We need the Senate to vote in support of this bill as well to keep this bill moving forward. Please contact your senators now and urge them to vote in favor of the Act.
