Administrative Leave Available for Children's Vaccination Appointments Federal employees who need to accompany a child to a COVID-19 vaccination appointment are eligible for up to four hours of administrative leave, according to the Safer Federal Workforce Task Force. The policy allows up to four hours of leave per dose. Employees are advised to obtain advance approval from their supervisor to use the leave. NTEU has updated our FAQs page with this and other updates on the vaccine mandate. The FAQs include information on the reasonable accommodation exceptions as well. Note that any employee with a pending request, even if that request is pending after the Nov. 22 date to be fully vaccinated, will not be subject to any discipline. Learn more here |
