    NTEU 296 wins arbitration

NTEU Grievance Wins $300,000 for Five NPS Employees With support from NTEU’s national field attorneys, the Chapter won significant financial awards for five NPS employees whose detail assignments at the Horace Albright Training Center (HOAL) ended abruptly. NTEU successfully argued that the employees were retaliated against for contacting Union stewards to file a grievance. The employees’ personal and professional lives were disrupted when their details were rescinded. A federal Arbitrator ruled that their supervisors’ actions constituted an Unfair Labor Practice (ULP). A ULP notice will be circulated by NPS leadership to all WASO employees shortly. We will share more details on this important win for our employees at the next chapter lunch and learn meeting on Wednesday, April 24
