Every year, proposals are advanced that threaten the retirement benefits of not only active federal employees, but also retirees.

Here's the good news: thanks to you  and thousands of NTEU retiree members like you -- we've stopped those proposals in their tracks.

Here's what NTEU does:

• Blocked efforts to eliminate cost-of-living increases for those under the Federal Employees Retirement System and reduce cost-of-living increases by 0.5 percent for those on the Civil Service Retirment System.
• Opposed plans to reduce the interest rate on the Thrift Savings Plan's G Fund that would reduce your reitrement income.
• Fought back against significant increases to FEHBP premiums.
• Helped establish the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program.
• Ensured that changes made to the Social Security and Medicare Programs treat federal employees fairly.
• In 2022 NTEU started the "NTEU Strong" newsletter for retirees
