SUMMARY: The Safer Federal Workforce Task Force has updated its FAQs to include additional information and guidance for agencies on vaccine-related leave. Today, the COVID-19 Safer Federal Workforce Task Force released additional FAQs on vaccine-related leave. These new FAQs reiterate that agencies are required to offer a minimum of four hours of administrative leave to get any dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and up to two days of administrative leave to recover from adverse reactions related to any COVID-19 dose. In addition, agencies must grant up to four hours of administrative leave, per dose, for federal employees to accompany a family member who is receiving a COVID-19 vaccination. The updated vaccine-related leave guidance may be found here: https://www.saferfederalworkforce.gov/new/ As you know, no employees are required to be vaccinated under the policies as laid out by the COVID-19 Safer Federal Workforce Task Force, but agencies are required to develop such testing programs for federal employees and contractor employees who work onsite, and who are not fully vaccinated or who have declined to provide their vaccination information. |
