NTEU Endorses Bill to Boost Federal Pay 7.4 Percent in 2025 The Federal Adjustment of Income Rates (FAIR) Act—endorsed by NTEU and sponsored by Sen. Brian Schatz (D-HI) and Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA)—would provide an average 7.4 percent increase for federal employees in 2025. The bill was introduced in Congress today. The proposed raise consists of a 4 percent across-the-board increase, plus an average 3.4 percent for locality pay. “Giving federal employees an average 7.4 percent pay raise next year would be a welcome recognition of their commitment to public service and an important step to closing the wage gap between public and private sector salaries," said National President Doreen Greenwald. |
