Congress Returns to Face Funding Deadline

Congress returns this week from its Thanksgiving break with major spending legislation high on the agenda. Top appropriators in the House and Senate reached a deal over the recess on top-line figures for each of the fiscal 2021 spending bills. Lawmakers must still pass a continuing resolution or full-year funding for the remainder of the fiscal year to prevent a government shutdown on Dec. 11, when the current continuing resolution expires.

As negotiations continue, NTEU will keep fighting for a fair pay increase for all federal employees and adequate agency funding.
