NTEU Supports Bipartisan Bill to Improve Workplace Safety

NTEU is supporting bipartisan legislation aimed at making federal buildings safer by requiring agencies to be more responsive to recommendations to enhance security.

The Improving Federal Building Security Act, introduced in the Senate last week, would require federal agencies to respond to Federal Protective Service recommendations within 90 days of their issuance.

The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee is expected to consider the bill this week.
