NTEU Fights for Remote Work at CFTC Despite the widespread success of remote work throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has refused to bargain over an NTEU remote work proposal. Instead, CFTC claims that NTEU’s proposed remote work program violates its management rights. NTEU is asking the Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA) to resolve the dispute. Last week, NTEU filed a brief with the FLRA responding to CFTC’s position and arguing that its remote work proposal is lawful. NTEU’s defense of its remote work proposal at CFTC is part of its broader effort to preserve workplace flexibility for federal workers. |
