Senate passes FY 2022 omnibus appropriations bill sending the bill to the President for signature and preventing a government shutdown. With government funding set to expire tomorrow night, the Senate passed the FY 2022 omnibus appropriations bill, H.R. 2471, the bipartisan government funding deal that increases both domestic and defense spending and provides funding for Ukraine. President Biden is expected to sign the bill and prevent a government shutdown. The Senate also passed the 4-day Continuing Resolution to give the President more time to sign the bill. As we now turn to FY 2023 funding, NTEU will continue our work with Congress and the White House to ensure federal employees receive a fair pay increase and that agencies are adequately funded to meet their missions. I will keep you updated on these developments. |
