Task Force on Scientific Integrity Gets NTEU Support

NTEU supports efforts by the administration to review the effectiveness of scientific integrity policies across the federal government.

In a letter released yesterday, the Office of Science and Technology Policy, charged with undertaking the review, said the task force would consider whether existing policies:

    • Prevent improper political interference in the conduct of scientific research and the collection of scientific or technological data.
    • Prevent the suppression or distortion of scientific or technological findings, data, information, conclusions, or technical results.
    • Support scientists and researchers of all genders, races, ethnicities, and backgrounds.
    • Advance the equitable delivery of the federal government’s programs.

NTEU strongly supports all efforts that ensure the work of government doctors, scientists and researchers is free of outside interference and available for those who create government policy.
