Bill Providing a 3.2 Percent Raise in 2022 Introduced in the Senate Sen. Brian Schatz (D-HI) last week introduced the Federal Adjustment of Income Rates (FAIR) Act in the Senate. The legislation, strongly endorsed by NTEU, would provide a 2.2 percent across-the-board increase and 1.0 percent for locality pay. Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-Va.) introduced the bill in the House earlier this year. “These hardworking public servants deserve a raise,” said Schatz. “Our bill gives federal employees a 3.2 percent pay increase to help make up for the paychecks they've lost because of furloughs and pay freezes over the past few years.” Read more |
