Two-Day CR Passes Congress Lawmakers on Capitol Hill bought themselves another 48 hours in which to finalize an omnibus spending bill and coronavirus relief package by approving a two-day continuing resolution (CR) this evening. The president is expected to sign the CR. Negotiations will continue in Congress over the weekend with the goal of introducing and passing the funding and relief package by Sunday at midnight. Avoiding a government shutdown is good news. We will update you over the weekend on the progress Congress makes. We will continue to share breaking information on NTEU.org, via email, and on our Facebook page. |
