NTEU-led Coalition Supports Fair Pay for Higher-Graded Work
NTEU is working to ensure that employees who temporarily perform higher-graded work are paid appropriately. Currently, there is an unfair, 120-day cap on higher pay, even when employees do such work for longer periods of time and even when they do it at management’s direction.

The union petitioned the Office of Personnel Management to change the regulation at the root of this 120-day cap problem. In response to NTEU’s petition, OPM is now proposing to change its regulation.

NTEU has submitted comments supporting the proposed change and urging OPM to finalize the rule quickly. In a strong show of solidarity, 13 additional unions representing federal sector employees signed on to NTEU’s comments to OPM.
