NTEU Builds Coalition to Support Schedule F Regulation
NTEU continues to lead the charge to protect employees if there is a future Schedule F Executive Order aimed at making large numbers of federal employees easier to fire. In response to an NTEU petition, the Office of Personnel Management proposed regulations that would mitigate the effects of a future Schedule F Executive Order. As part of the regulatory process, OPM is accepting comments on its proposed regulations. NTEU’s comments encourage OPM to move quickly to, among other things, clarify and reinforce the due process rights of employees affected by a future Schedule F. In a strong show of solidarity, 13 unions representing federal sector employees signed on to NTEU’s comments to OPM. NTEU has launched a webpage with Schedule F information and updates. |
