With government funding set to expire with the beginning of the new fiscal year tomorrow, the Senate passed the Continuing Resolution (CR), H.R. 8377, today by a vote of 84 to 10 that extends funding until December 11, 2020. The President is expected to sign the bill.
It remains unclear whether Congress and the White House will be able to reach an agreement on full-year funding or have to pass another CR in December. Rest assured that NTEU will continue to advocate against a shutdown and for adequate funding for our agencies, as well as for a pay increase for federal employees. I will keep you updated with any developments.
And we just got confirmation from a Washington Post article that the President signed it.
