House Members Introduce Anti-Employee Legislation A group of 12 House Republican members last week introduced legislation that would establish provisions of four harmful executive orders from the previous administration as federal law. The so-called Accountable Federal Employees Act (HR 7095) would reinstate the trio of executive orders attacking federal employee collective bargaining and due process rights, along with the ability of federal unions to fairly represent employees. The bill also aims to bring back the Schedule F scheme creating a new class of career federal employees, stripping their due process protections and making it easier to fire employees at will. NTEU will fight to ensure this bill does not advance in Congress. |
