President Signs Omnibus Boosting Agency Funding President Biden has signed an omnibus spending bill that funds the government through Sept. 30. NTEU is pleased that passage of the bill eliminates threats of government shutdowns through the end of the fiscal year and provides a welcome boost in funding for most NTEU-represented agencies. The bill includes $12.6 billion for the IRS, an increase of $675 million above fiscal 2021 levels, which is the agency’s largest funding boost since 2001. For Customs and Border Protection, the bill provides the necessary funding to maintain the current level of Office of Field Operations staffing and avoid furloughs. Other NTEU-represented agencies that will see funding boosts include the Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service, Department of Energy and the Bureau of Fiscal Service. |
