    Federal Employee Bills We’re Watching

NTEU continues to work diligently on Capitol Hill advocating for pro-federal employee legislation while opposing legislation that would threaten your job, pay and benefits.

Here are some bills NTEU supports:

Providing federal employees with an average 7.4 percent pay increase in 2025 consisting of a 4 percent across-the-board increase and an average 3.4 percent for locality pay.

Expanding the current paid parental leave program to give federal employees 12 weeks of paid family leave to deal with a personal or family medical issue.

Safeguarding employee rights by preventing a future Schedule F that would take away federal employee due process rights and allow them to be fired at will.

Ensure that retirees enrolled in the Federal Employees Retirement System and the Civil Service Retirement System receive equal annual cost-of-living increases each year.
