Senate Releases Text of Nine FY 2022 Appropriations Bills The Senate Appropriations Committee released the text of its remaining nine funding bills for fiscal year 2022 as Congress continues to work toward full-year funding. The bills would provide funding increases for most NTEU-represented agencies; continue the ban on A-76 competitions between federal employees and private contractors; and strongly encourage agencies to work with unions in a good faith manner on workplace representational issues. Like its House counterpart, the Senate Financial Services and General Government bill remains silent on the issue of federal employee pay, deferring to the president’s proposed average 2.7 percent pay increase for 2022. NTEU continues to push Congress and the administration to support the FAIR Act and provide an average 3.2 percent increase for next year. The government is currently operating under a continuing resolution (CR), which expires Dec. 3. NTEU is pushing for a fair pay raise and adequate full-year funding for all federal agencies. |
