President Trump signed an executive order tonight instructing agencies to work with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to severely reduce staffing levels and limit future hiring through large scale reductions-in-force. 
 
This order is another in a series of relentless attacks designed to eviscerate the federal civil service. We ask every federal employee to stay strong in the face of these relentless attacks on the federal workforce.
 
Employees cannot be fired immediately during a reduction-in-force. Agency heads are required to take several procedural steps before acting on the president’s directive. And we will be here beside you fighting each step of the way.
