NTEU Welcomes Federal Trade Commission Employees to Our Union

Employees at the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) voted overwhelmingly for NTEU to be their exclusive representative. We are thrilled to add them to our union family.

The new NTEU Chapter 344 will represent about 820 FTC employees in Washington D.C. and eight regional offices in New York, Cleveland, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle.

The employees sought out NTEU so they could have a voice in making their workplace better and have the protection for telework and other benefits secured in a union contract.

“My dedicated colleagues at the FTC are eager to have a seat at the table when it comes to negotiating important workplace policies,” said Emily Blackburn, who helped lead the organizing effort and is serving as Interim Chapter President. “We recognize that we are stronger together and will use the power of our new union to support each other as we strive to carry out the vital mission of our agency promoting competition and protecting consumers.” Read more
